Syrian and Rwandan participants of WUF13 visit ASAN Khidmet center

On May 18, Minister of Public Works and Housing of Syria, along with the Governor of Damascus and the Mayor of Rwandan capital city Kigali, who are visiting Azerbaijan to participate at the 13th Session of the United Nations (UN) World Urban Forum (WUF13), toured the “ASAN Khidmet” center in Baku.
Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, briefed the delegation on the activities of the “ASAN Khidmet” Centers, established on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, as well as on the innovative solutions implemented in the public service sector. The guests were informed that ASAN has evolved into an intellectual brand exported to more than 30 countries.
It was also emphasized that the UN evaluates the “ASAN Khidmet” concept, which has become Azerbaijan’s international brand as the best model and promotes it on four continents.
The Syrian side has expressed interest in implementing the ASAN service experience in their country within a short period of time and has requested support from Azerbaijan in this regard.
During the discussions with Rwandan delegation, the sides emphasized the importance of signing the “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Rwanda Development Board on the establishment of a mechanism for delivering advanced public services.”
The guests then familiarized themselves with the activities of the “INNOLAND” Incubation and Acceleration Center, Mobile ASAN Khidmet, the “ABAD” Public Legal Entity, and the “Bilim Baku” Center.
