TAX BODIES SUM UP RESULTS
Opening the sitting, Minister of Taxes Fazil Mammadov stressed exceptional services of President Heydar Aliyev in building and development of the tax services.
Having dwelt upon problems the tax bodies face, deputy Minister of Taxes Natig Gasimov noted that presidential decree also set goals for tax officers. Actions taken towards enhancing of the tax control, improvement of its mechanism must be rapid. At the same time, it is necessary to improve the interaction with the subjects of entrepreneurship. Every tax employee must make every effort towards meeting of all requirements of the head of the state: “Officials must serve the state, people, citizens.”
It was said at the sitting that tax authorities collected 4,116 trillion manat against the budget forecast of 4,062 trillion manat, thus, hitting tax proceeds targets by 101,4 percent. Tax proceeds increased by 717 billion manat against last year’s showings, and 8 of 11 kinds of payments have been fulfilled. Most rapid growth was observed in non-state proceeds.
Minister of Taxes Fazil Mammadov recognized the work of tax bodies as generally satisfactory but stressed that reforms will be continued this year. The work processes will be based on new program and project for upgrading of the tax service level will be developed together with the European Union’s TACIS program.
The Minister gave relevant instructions to improve work with entrepreneurs, enhance the tax control for financial discipline for more quality service of tax bodies.
