Texas hosts conference of International Association of Drilling Contractors
Baku, February 10 (AZERTAC). The next conference of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) has been held in Houston city in the state of Texas, US.
The two-day conference brought together 445 experts from 15 countries.
Specialists of Absheron Drilling Company (ADC) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) attended the conference.
The conference was organized with the primary purpose to discuss the issues of prevention of incidents and environmental protection, and also, the issue of competency and training of the employees engaged in drilling area.
SOCAR`s specialists took part in the exhibition, during which almost 40 companies offered their various services and product; and established contacts with the representatives of a number of leading companies with the intention of further business cooperation with them.
SOCAR-AQŞ has been a member of IADC in good standing since June 2009. Participation in conferences and exhibitions organized by IADC creates an opportunity for our specialists to learn the experience of foreign leading companies and to apply this experience in our company.
