The Asian Development Bank to allocate $ 752 million to Azerbaijan

Baku, December 22, AZERTAC

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will allocate $ 752 million to Azerbaijan, representative of the Asian Development Bank Olli Naojono said as he held press conference on December 22.

“ADB is interested in contributing to economic diversification and private sector development in Azerbaijan in accordance with Country Partnership Strategy. As part of this strategy, transport, energy, urban services, small and medium-sized business and the development between public-private sector partnerships will be supported. This development sectors will create new economic opportunities, reduce the gap between urban and rural areas. The new strategy attaches great importance to regional cooperation, governance, environmental sustainability, climate change and effective implementation of projects”, Narojono said.
