‘There is special attention in Azerbaijan to ensuring human rights’
Baku, February 3 (AZERTAC). There is special attention in Azerbaijan to ensuring human rights. Representatives of some countries or international organizations ignore this fact and demonstrate unjust position towards Azerbaijan, head of Azerbaijan`s parliamentary delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov said.
Seyidov noted international organizations studying the situation in Azerbaijan must not turn a blind eye to the fact of existence of political prisoners in neighboring countries.
According to him, it is biased to mention the name of Azerbaijan among 47 countries, though there are parliamentarians and journalists in prisons in neighboring countries. “It is just a form of pressure against Azerbaijan, but they will achieve nothing,” Seyidov added.
