Thiago Silva renews contract with Chelsea until 2023

Chelsea have given their supporters some positive news this week, officially announcing that veteran defender, Thiago Silva, has renewed his contract with the club until the summer of 2023, according to Marca.
Having initially signed for just one season in 2020/21, Silva extended his stay into the current season after winning the Champions League under Thomas Tuchel.
He has now officially extended his stay in London into a third year, with his previous contract having been due to expire in June of 2022.
In 2021/22 he has made 21 appearances so far and has scored two goals, leading Chelsea CEO, Marina Granovskaia, to be particularly enthusiastic in her praise of the defender.
"His qualities have led him to have such a huge impact for us on and off the pitch," Granovskaia confirmed in a club statement.
