THIRD ECONOMIC FORUM HELD IN ASTANA
Astana, July 3 (AZERTAC). The Third Astana Economic Forum was held on July 1-2 at the capital of Kazakhstan. The event brought together 2 thousand social and public figures, heads of international finance organizations, famous economists, scholars, experts from 50 world countries. Among the guests were Nobel Prize winners.
Azerbaijan delegation included scientists – economists Isa Aliyev, Vilyaet Valiyev, Fuad Ismayilov and others.
After the opening remarks by president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on creation of world currency, the scientists debated the coming years` economic challenges.
Executive Secretary of the UN European Economic Commission, Yan Kubish, and the OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut welcomed the Forum participants.
The Forum focused questions of post-crisis economic growth and use of human factor, the role of state in rise of economic potential, world experience in lifting the results of economic crisis, the questions of post-crisis development in the CIS countries, formalization of the global energy-ecology strategy and other problems.
The Azerbaijan National Academy`s Institute of Economy and Baku State University have become members of the newly created Eurasia Economic Forum.
