Top diplomats of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran discuss ongoing regional processes
Baku, April 17 (AZERTAC). Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Iran met in the city of Urmia in Iran.
The talks focused on neighborly relationships, the ongoing processes in the region, expansion of cooperation among the three countries in various spheres.
The ministers agreed to hold the next trilateral meeting in the city of Nakhchivan in Azerbaijan to exchange views on issues of mutual interest.
A joint declaration was adopted as a result of the meeting.
As part of the visit to Urmia, Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu. They discussed settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and various aspects of bilateral relations. They also touched upon the ongoing processes in the Middle East region.
Mammadyarov also met Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi to discuss how to develop bilateral relations, organize reciprocal visits.
Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister had another meeting with governor of West Azerbaijan province Vahid Jalalzadeh. It was noted during the meeting that friendly and good-neighborly relations exist between Iran and Azerbaijan.
