Turkey presents honorary diploma of Firat University to Azeri popular writer
Elazig, February 6 (AZERTAC). A presentation ceremony of the honorary diploma of Firat University to the chairman of Azerbaijan Writers` Union, People`s Writer Anar, who was named the “Man of Year” for literature in the Turkic world, was held in Elazig Cultural Center in Turkey.
Rector of Firat University, professor Feyzi Bingol made a speech at the presentation ceremony that took part as part of the Elazig-Baku Cultural and Art Days.
Addressing the ceremony, Anar expressed his gratitude for the award.
Turkish folk music artists performed at the ceremony.
Elazig governor Muammer Erol, parliamentarian Suay Alpay, Elazig Mayor Suleyman Selmanoglu and department head of Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism Vagif Bahmanli attended the event.
