Death of Heydar Aliyev, who is not only the son of Azerbaijani people, but also national leader of the Turkic world and great politician of his time, was received in Turkey with a deep grief and sorrow. The TRT, NTV, CNN-Turk, Khaber-Turk, TGRT, Samanyolu TV, “Kanal D” televisions of the country suspended their programs and informed the bitter news.

On 13 December, the influential newspapers of Turkey “Hurriyyet”, “Milliyyet”, “Akhsham”, “Zaman”, “Radikal”, “Jumhuriyyet”, “Turkey”, “Yeni Shefeg”, “Tercumen”, “Posta”, “Sabah”, “Yeni Chag” have widely covered the news on demise of Heydar Aliyev.

The Turkish journalists inform on the rich and glorious political life of Heydar Aliyev, stressing that the news on his death has shocked the Turkic world. They share grief and sorrow of the Azerbaijani people, saying “Heydar Aliyev was a legend and will live in the hearts of the Turks forever“.
