Turkic States Athletics Association to be established
Baku, December 4, AZERTAC
The inaugural meeting for the establishment of the Turkic States Athletics Association has been held in Istanbul.
According to the Turkish Athletic Federation, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus participated in the meeting as observers.
Other Turkic speaking countries are expected to join the second meeting scheduled for 2024.
The aim of the gathering is to deepen relations among the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States, facilitate the exchange of experiences and conduct educational activities in the field of sports in the region.
