Turkish-Armenian relationship depends on settlement of Nagorno Karabakh problem
Ankara, March 9 (AZERTAC). Namik Tan, Turkish ambassador to the United States in his statement at the John Hopkins University said occupation of the 20 percent of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia is a serious problem in region. The occupation can never be accepted.
Stating that Turkey backs activity of the OSCE Minsk Group in settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh problem, Namik Tan said the deputy foreign minister of Turkey has also discussed settlement of the conflict a week before when he visited Washington. Official Ankara considers the problem is the main obstacle to the progress in region and believes in its quick solution. Normalization of the Turkish-Armenian relations depends just on this.
Settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh problem would ease the process of normalization.
