TURKISH GOVERNMENT ADOPTS RESOLUTION ON NAMING CEYHAN TERMINAL AFTER PRESIDENT HEYDAR ALIYEV
Expressing his great satisfaction with the decision of the brotherly country’s Government, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev described the February 3 signing final financial package on the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan project as a joint victory of Azerbaijan and Turkey. He pointed out that this project, along with its great role in economic development of the two countries, would promote strengthening security in the region. President Ilham Aliyev expressed his confidence in timely completion of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Main Export pipeline construction.
The Head of State asked the Minister to convey his greetings to President of Turkey Ahmet Necdet Sezer and Prime-Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and announced that his intention to visit Turkey soon.
Mr. Helmi Guler conveyed to the President of Azerbaijan greetings from Prime-Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and updated the Head of State in detail on last week debate between representatives of the Governments of Turkey and Azerbaijan over Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline construction.
He also expressed confidence of successful realization of the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzerum project, and reminded, in this connection, the agreement signed with the Government of Greece.
