UNESCO EXPANDING PARLIAMENTARY TIES
A workshop dedicated to establishment of close relations between this international Organization and Parliaments of world countries. Chairman of the standing committee for cultural issues of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Republic, member of Azerbaijan National Commission in UNESCO Anar Rzayev took part at the arrangement.
The discussions mainly focused issues of strengthening links between Azerbaijan Parliament and UNESCO, conduction of joint events, preservation of national values in the period of globalization.
Representative of Azerbaijan recalled that hitherto the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan has adopted a number of decisions on the issues of preservation of folklore, historical monuments, museums and libraries, law on language.
It has to be reminded that some of the discussed problems have already been resolved in the republic of Azerbaijan.
