A delegation of Sumgayit led by Vice-Mayor of the city Ramiz Hasanov has returned from the German city of Ludwigshafen. He told AzerTac correspondent that the visit timed to the 150th anniversary of Ludwigshafen’s municipality. The festivities were also attended by the delegations of twin-towns of Ludowigchaven from USA, Great Britain, France and the Netherlands took. Within 6 days, the participants have enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about history, culture, ways and habits and traditions of one another. Opening the ceremony Chief Burgomaster of Ludowigchaven, doctor Eve Loise reminded the unforgettable, impressive days spent in Sumgayit in July of 2002 during celebrations on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of establishment of partnership relations. It was kind of a fairy tale of 1001 nights’, she said. The delegation of Sumgayit performed an interesting concern program, photo exposition and oriental sweets baked by Azeri experts. The festivities were rounded by a big gala-concert with the participation of pop starts, classical music, circus of different countries. A bright show was accompanied by visual pyrotechnic effects and solemn fireworks.
