UNIFEM TO ORGANIZE TRAINING ON CEDAW AND UNSCR 1325

A three-day training for trainers on “Convention on the Elimination of all forms of discrimination against women (CEDAW) and United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSCR)” will be organized April 26-28 in the Irshad Hotel, Baku by the support of the United National Development Fund for Women regional project, “Women for Conflict Prevention and Peace-building in the Southern Caucasus”.

The purpose of this training is to build the capacity of gender equality advocates in government and civil society to advocate for and to support the effective implementation of CEDAW and UNSCR 1325 as well as improve their understanding on the linkages between these two important documents.

The workshop will be conducted for 22 representatives of NGOs working on gender issues among whom the members of UNIFEM-supported women’s groups “Coalition-1325” and “National Network of IDP Women”.
