University of Washington hosts seminar dedicated to Azerbaijan
Baku, April 14 (AZERTAC). The University of Washington in Seattle, the largest university in the Northwestern United States and one of the oldest universities on the West Coast, hosted a seminar dedicated to Azerbaijan.
Addressing the teachers and students of the university, Consul General of Azerbaijan to Los Angeles Elin Suleymanov described the policy of regional integration and consolidation of state, carried out by the leadership of Azerbaijan. According to the Azerbaijani diplomat, unsettlement of ethnic conflicts such as the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno Karabakh is a principal barrier on the path to development of the whole region, including Armenia.
The diplomat also dwelled on the regional projects, such as the BTC, activity of TURKSOY, worldwide celebrations of Novruz Bayrami, etc.
During the visit to Washington State, Consul General Elin Suleymanov and Vice-consul Ramil Gurbanov met with representatives of Boeing Company.
The Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States. The consular district assigned covers states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
