US-AZERBAIJAN TRAININGS UNDERWAY IN BAKU

The joint Azerbaijan-America trainings are being conducted in Baku from January 26 to February 6 to protect offshore oil platforms. Trainings are aimed at developing the skills of Azerbaijan Navy troops towards protection of the oil and gas platforms and other offshore drilling facilities.

Totally, 18 US servicemen and from Azerbaijani side - 45 servicemen and 2 coast guard cutters are involved in trainings.

The trainings are being held in line with the U.S.-Azerbaijan bilateral cooperation plan.
