USA HIGHLY ESTIMATES THE ORDER OF PRESIDENT OF THE AZERBAIJAN REPUBLIC
The US ambassador to Azerbaijan Rino Harnish has told that official Washington, highly estimating the Order of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev dated October 25, 2005, “On the urgent measures connected to preparation and conducting elections to Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic”, counts the said document a new step in the direction of development of democracy in Azerbaijan. The American diplomat has declared readiness of the country to render all assistance to execution of the said Order.
The head of mission of the US International Agency of Development in the country James Joggin, also expressing the attitude to the mentioned Order of the President of Azerbaijan, has told that one of these days 40 American observers would arrive to Baku for participation in monitoring of elections. He also has noted that the USA are interested in democratic, fair, transparent elections to parliament of Azerbaijan and will make for this purpose the utmost.
