US`s UOP keen on future petrochemical complex in Azerbaijan
Baku, February 18 (AZERTAC). Rovnag Abdullayev, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) met with visiting Rajeev Gautam, President and CEO of US`s UOP, multi-national company developing and delivering technology to the petrochemical production and Andreas Kramvis, President and CEO of Honeywell Specialty Materials, major conglomerate company.
Abdullayev pointed out the UOP has been cooperating with Azerbajian`s oil refining enterprises for many years. He underlined new opportunities emerged for expanding cooperation as Azerbaijan had embarked on a new oil and gas refining and petrochemical complex construction project.
President of UOP Rajeev Gautam noted the company is going to use experience gained from cooperation with Azerbaijani oil refiners in working out the feasibility study of the new complex, and provide configuration, integration and optimization of future enterprises.
Abdullayev pointed out the new complex, which will source raw materials from Azerbaijan`s oil and gas industry, will mark a new era in development of petrochemical industry.
