Uzbek President Islam Karimov laid to rest

Uzbekistan’s President Islam Karimov has been buried in his hometown of Samarkand.
Thousands of people, including high level officials from foreign countries attended the funeral.
Led by parliament speaker Ogtay Asadov, Azerbaijan`s delegation at the event included Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov, Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade, parliamentary committee chairman Eldar Ibrahimov, MP Huseynbala Miralamov and other officials.
