VISA REGIME BETWEEN TURKEY AND AZERBAIJAN TO BE SIMPLIFIED
Having strongly condemned radical opposition’s actions and their masterminds after the election, the deputies urged the law-enforcement bodies to punish the culprits.
Member of Milli Majlis permanent commission on international relations and inter-parliamentary links Bahruz Gandilov reported on the Agreement “On mutual application of visas between Azerbaijan Republic and Turkish Republic” signed on September 8, 2003 in Ankara. The agreement implies voiding any fees for those citizens of Azerbaijan entering Turkey and vice versa.
Only the citizens leaving without visas are to pay for entrance visa in Bina airport of Baku and $10 for entrance visas in all frontier points of Turkey. Turkish and Azerbaijani students obtaining their education in Turkey and Azerbaijan may freely go in and out producing student ID cards received in the state organizations.
The deputies noted that this Agreement will play a vital role in development of the ties between both countries and unanimously adopted this document.
Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Ahmad Unal Chevikez thanked the deputies and noted that he would do his best to further develop ties between the two fraternal countries. Speaker of Milli Majli Murtuz Alaskarov congratulated the ambassador and the Turkish people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of foundation of the Republic of Turkey.
Then, the deputies endorsed Asif Imamaliyev who had been elected in proportional order as a member of the permanent commission on regional affairs and inter-parliamentary friendship groups of Germany and Moldova.
In connection with the application of law “On amendments to the law “On Public Service” the paragraph 102.1.16 of the Tax Code, items 4.1,4.1.5 of the law “On Compulsory Insurance of state employees” were amended and draft amendments to the provision on Council of Public Service Management were adopted
After the midday, Milli Majlis adopted the candidature of Arthur Rasizadeh as Prime Minister of Azerbaijan nominated by President of Azerbaijan.
