WOMEN’S FIELD HOCKEY PLAYERS PREPARE FOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

As a part of the build-up to the world field hockey championship, Azerbaijan women’s national team lead by Adil Pashayev has started trainings in the Republican Field Hockey Complex.

The qualification matches will be held from April 25 to May 6 in Rome. Twelve teams will be competing in two pools. Azerbaijan was drawn in pool B with Iceland, New Zealand, USA, Korea and Italy while China, England, France Japan, Scotland and Ukraine will be competing in the pool A.

The top two teams will book their place in the final while third and fourth-placed teams will have to face in play-offs. National team will leave for Italy on April 20.
