WUF13 participant: Azerbaijan can serve as an example for other countries

“The World Urban Forum is of paramount importance. This platform brings together experts from different countries to shape the future of sustainable cities,” said Kenyan participant Vera Bukachi in an interview with AZERTAC during the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku.
She noted that the concept of a sustainable city can only be achieved through the inclusion of all segments of society — women, youth, the elderly, and children.
“Urban planning must be accessible to society as a whole, not just to specific groups,” Vera Bukachi said.
She also spoke about Azerbaijan’s role in the global sustainable development agenda.
“By sharing its successful practices, Azerbaijan can serve as an example for other countries. At the same time, learning from international experience in various fields and exchanging ideas are also of crucial importance,” she emphasized.
