ADULT EDUCATION CONFERENCE TO BE HELD IN SEPTEMBER
A conference on adult education in Azerbaijan being organized by Caucasus division of the Institute of the International Co-operation of the German Adult Education Association is expected in Baku in September. The conference will mainly focus on the issues of adult education policy, social partnership in the sphere of education, and the place of professional education in the adult education system and its role in the country’s economic development.According to Baku coordinator of the Caucasus division of the Instittute Fuad Muradov, the goal of the conference is propaganda of continuous education for adults in enterprises, establishment of new structures through consultations and co-operation with local partners, rising of qualification the adults population. Both state-owned and private and non-governmental adult education providers, as well as data on labor market’ demand and supply will be analyzed during the conference. Participating at the conference will be representatives of the Ministries of Education; Labor, and Social Security of Population; Economic Development, as well as members of the parliamentary commissions on science and education; Confederation of Trade Unions; relevant organizations and structures.
