ANAMA: 329 Azerbaijanis have become victims of landmines since November 2020

“As a result of 191 mine accidents, which have occurred in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur from November 2020 to October 2023, 329 people became victims of landmines. Of those 63 were killed,” Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) told AZERTAC.

According to ANAMA, since the beginning of 2023, 28 mine accidents have been registered, as a result of which 47 people became victims of landmines, and 17 of them lost their lives.

There were 31 mine accidents in November-December 2020, while 77 in 2021, and 55 in 2022, the agency reported.
