The situation on the contact line between Azerbaijan and Armenia has remained tense as the Armenian Armed Forces shattered ceasefire a total of 42 times throughout the day, Azerbaijan`s Defence Ministry said.

The ceasefire was violated in Agbulag and Alibayli villages of Tovuz region, Goyarkh and Chilaburt villages of Terter region, Yusifjanli, Merzili, Sarijali, Jevahirli, Kengerli, Garagashli and Bash Gervend villages of Agdam region, Kuropatkino village of Khojavend region, Horadiz, Garakhanbayli, Gorgan, Ashagi Seyidahmadli and Ashagi Abdurrahmanli villages of Fuzuli region, Mehdili village of Jabrayil region.

The Armenians were silenced with a retail fire.
