Azerbaijan and Astrakhan region discuss cultural cooperation

Baku, September 9 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev met Thursday visiting minister of culture of the Russian Federation`s Astrakhan region Irina Tarasova.

The Azeri Minister informed Tarasova about the work carried out in the fields of culture and tourism in the country.

Garayev underlined the necessity of expanding relationship between Azerbaijan and Russia in the field of culture.

Mrs. Tarasova stressed the importance of strengthening cultural relations between the two countries.

She also added it was her first visit to Azerbaijan.

Mrs. Tarasova underlined the culture days of Astrakhan would be held in Azerbaijan next year.

She said Astrakhan region would host the culture days of Azerbaijan in 2013.
