Azerbaijan Army commemorates National Leader Heydar Aliyev

On December 12, events commemorating the 22nd anniversary of the passing of National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev were held in the Azerbaijan Army, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
In the types of troops, army corps, formations, military units, Combined Arms Army and special educational institutions, the public-political training classes, round tables and conferences were organized. Documentary films on the honorable life and activities of the National Leader were also screened.
At the events attended by military personnel and public representatives, a minute of silence was observed to honor the memory of the National Leader and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan accompanied by a military orchestra was performed.
During the commemoration events, the National Leader’s remarkable life was highlighted, his contributions to the country’s military, political, economic, social, cultural, and other spheres were discussed, and his invaluable merits were remembered with gratitude.
It was emphasized that during the years of the National Leader’s governance, thanks to his rich experience and wisdom, Azerbaijan started on a path of stable development, and the process of army building was carried out on a legal basis.
Speakers at the events particularly noted that in all fields, including army building, the political course of the National Leader is successfully continued by his worthy successor, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev.
The literary-artistic performances presented by the creative teams of the Hazi Aslanov Army Ideology and Culture Center and the Ganja Garrison Ideology and Culture Center were met with great interest and applause.
During the series of events, excursions to museums named after the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev were also organized for the personnel.
