AZERBAIJAN ATHLETES WIN SIX MEDALS IN IRAN
Azerbaijan athletes brought home a clutch of silver and bronze medals from the 16th international track and field athletics tournament in Iran, the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation said.
The Azerbaijan runners - Anar Yusifov, Pavel Setin, Valentin Bulichov and Ibrahim Ahmadov - won silver in men’s 4x400m relay.
Pavel Setin also won his individual silver in the 400m race clocking 49.51 seconds.
Setin was followed by his teammate Ibrahim Ahmadov who got 49.80 seconds in the race.
Valentin Bulichev and Nina Sunqayeva took bronze in the 60m race in men’s and women’s events respectively.
Teymur Abbasov leapt 15.64 meters in triple jump to grab one more bronze medal for Azerbaijan.
