Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy celebrates 5 years
Baku, March 4 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) has today celebrated a 5-year jubilee. Rector of the Academy Hafiz Pashayev addressing the event on occasion of the jubilee briefed the participants on the way ADA has been serving the country since it was founded. The rector of the Academy described a wide range of foreign policy programs implemented by ADA.
A documentary about the 5-year work of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy was screened at the event. Also the participants stood in memory of the Azerbaijani diplomat Fuad Ismailov, who has recently passed away. The Azeri foreign minister Elmar Mammadyarov highly appreciated the activity of the late diplomat.
Founded by the Azerbaijan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and chartered by a Presidential decree, ADA opened its doors to students in January 2007. ADA`s faculty, which includes scholars and practitioners both from Azerbaijan itself and from leading universities around the globe, contributes to this stimulating environment by engaging students in lively discussion in and outside the classroom and preparing them for rewarding careers in international affairs. ADA also offers the perfect setting to conduct academic and policy research on regional and international topics. The Academy plays a significant role in developing a productive research climate and in stimulating a forum for innovative ideas in Azerbaijan.
