Azerbaijan, Estonia discuss ways of boosting agricultural cooperation
Baku, April 17 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Agriculture Minister Ismat Abbasov has today met his Estoniaan counterpart Helir-Valdor Seeder to explore prospects for developing the bilateral agricultural cooperation.
The Azerbaijani Minister briefed his Estonian counterpart on agricultural reforms carried out in the country.
Abbasov praised the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Estonia in the agro-industrial complex. He said $53,200-worth agro-industrial products were imported to Azerbaijan from Estonia in 2011, while Azerbaijan`s export made $388,300.
The Azerbaijani Minister stressed the importance of experience exchange between the veterinary services of the two countries on infectious animal diseases, plant protection and quarantine.
The sides agreed to launch new projects to improve the Azerbaijan-Estonia agricultural cooperation, and increase import and export of agricultural products.
