“AZERBAIJAN IN THE CASPIAN REGION PLAYS THE ROLE OF BRUSSELS”
As was informed at the Azerbaijan Information Center in Poland, adviser to the president of the Republic of Poland Stanislav Tesek, president of the Poland-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce Vitold Pechukh, UNIDO deputy director Chsistoff Vengzhetsky, representatives diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, as well as large Polish trade companies attended the workshop.
The key topic of the conference was expansion of trade links between Poland and the three countries. Speaking at the conference, president of the Poland-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce Vitold Pechukh updated on the current situation in Azerbaijan and prospects of development of the Polish-Azerbaijani cooperation, dwelt on the necessity of developing trade links with Azerbaijan and attraction of the Polish investors to the Country. It was noted that “Azerbaijan in the Caspian region plays role of Brussels which has great importance in the life of modern Europe”.
Participants of the arrangement were distributed materials on Azerbaijan that update on the geographical position, climate, existence of natural resources and energy reserves, peculiarities of the taxation system and conducting trade activity, the companies, created with the participation of foreign capital, as well as position data of the Polish representations in Baku and possible Azerbaijani partners.
