Azerbaijan, Pakistan discuss ICT cooperation

Baku, November 27 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s minister of communication technologies Ali Abbasov has met Pakistani counterpart Changez Khan Jamali to explore prospects for boosting ICT cooperation between the two countries.

Abbasov emphasized an Azerbaijan-Pakistan intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in information and communication technologies sector. He praised the exchange of experience and personnel between the two countries` ICT ministries.

The minister stressed the necessity of intensifying reciprocal visits, and emphasized the importance of expanding the cooperation between the two countries` relevant working groups.

The Pakistani minister praised the BakuTel-2011 international telecommunication and information technologies conference and a Baku-hosted meeting of the Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Islamic Cooperation Organization.

Khan Jamali said Pakistan was ready to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan in all fields, including ICT.
