Azerbaijan Parliament starts fall session
Baku, October 1 (AZERTAC). On September 30 Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic started its fall session.
Speaker of Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov opened the session, congratulating the parliamentarians and wished them successes.
O. Asadov told that at spring session of 2011 Milli Majlis held 14 sessions of parliament, and adopted 139 laws and legislative acts.
The Speaker underlined that fruitful work of parliament at the past sessions has created favorable conditions for successful legislative activity. At his words, the current session will adopt a number of necessary acts. The part of these bills will be presented by President Ilham Aliyev as the legislative initiative.
The fall session will also discuss the bill on state budget and other documents entering into a budgetary package.
Then, the agenda of session and the plan of legislative work of fall session of 2011 were discussed.
The parliamentarians discussed the draft on the “Joint statement of presidents of the Azerbaijan Republic and Ukraine on the further development of relations of strategic partnership” and the “Plan of measures on wide cooperation between the Azerbaijan Republic and Ukraine for 2011-2015s”.
At session, also were made amendments in the law “On the Constitutional Court”, “On the state register of the real estate”, “On protection of the rights of consumers”, “On State Tax”, “On social insurance” and “On employment”.
