Azerbaijan, Qatar discuss prospects for interparliamentary relations

Cairo, June 3, AZERTAC

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Qatar Rashad Ismayilov has met with Speaker of the Shura Council of the State of Qatar Hassan bin Abdulla Al-Ghanim.

The sides hailed the steady development of relations between the two friendly countries, and discussed prospects for cooperation between the legislatures.

The ambassador presented a letter from Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova to the Speaker of the Shura Council. In the letter, Gafarova stressed the need to further develop interparliamentary cooperation, and invited Hassan bin Abdulla Al-Ghanim to attend a meeting of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement, which will be held in Baku from June 30 to July 1 this year.

Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim accepted the invitation with pleasure.
