Azerbaijan, Romania discuss ICT cooperation
Baku, November 25 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov has met with the Romanian delegation led by Minister of Communications and Information Society of Romania Valerian Vreme.
During the meeting, they discussed mutual relations, prospects for cooperation and investments.
Ali Abbasov briefed the delegation on the state`s care and attention to development of information and communications technology sector in Azerbaijan.
The Azeri Minister informed the Romanian delegation about large-scale ICT projects implemented in Azerbaijan.
Ali Abbasov said the ministry`s international relations have expanded in the recent years.
The ICT Minister stressed the importance of establishing high level cooperation that serves to mutual interests.
The Minister noted the sides must use existing potential for intensive trade relations, adding companies of Azerbaijan and Romania should be encouraged to invest in ICT sector.
Ali Abbasov also underlined the expanding investment, joint venture, initiative as well as bases on the sector are of great importance for both sides.
Valerian Vreme praised the sustainable development of ICT sector in Azerbaijan.
The Romanian Minister expressed satisfaction with the organizing trainings in ICT sphere, training personnel for IT and IT-based education, electronic services, expanding cooperation in exchange of data on cyber security.
The parties exchanged views on expansion of cooperation ties between Azerbaijani and Romanian companies.
