AZERBAIJAN, RUSSIA DISCUSS PROSECUTION COOPERATION
Baku, September 28 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s First Deputy Prosecutor General Rustam Usubov met with Deputy head of the Russian Prosecutor Office`s Investigative Committee Elena Leonenko who is visiting Azerbaijan by the invitation of the country`s Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov.
Usubov gave full information on the creation of regulatory and legal framework, judicial reforms being implemented in the country under President Ilham Aliyev`s leadership.
Usubov praised development of friendly ties between Azerbaijan and Russia, which contribute to expansion of cooperation between both countries` investigation bodies.
Leonenko, in turn, praised reforms in the prosecution bodies in Azerbaijan, saying “Russia pays significant importance to all-round cooperation with Azerbaijan”.
She expressed readiness to assist the expansion of cooperation between the two countries.
Office of the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan and Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation signed a program on cooperation.
The delegation visited the Office`s History Museum, Science and Education Center. They also received the book on the Office.
Prior to the meeting, the Russian delegation visited the Alley of Honors to pay tribute to national leader Heydar Aliyev.
They also visited the Alley of Martyrs.
