AZERBAIJANI AWARDED WITH UIZBEKISTANI “LABOR GLORY” ORDER
On the occasion of the 12th anniversary of independence, a group of scientists, culture and art figures, physicians and representatives of mass media were given honorable names and prizes according to the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov’s Decree. An Azerbaijani and Uzbekistani People’s actor, Hamza prizewinner, director of the Uzbekistani Academic Theatre after Alishir Navai, Firudin Safarov was among those awarded with “Labor Glory” order.
Firudin Safarov has been working in Uzbekistan for 25 years. He staged more than 60 plays at theatres of Baku and Tashkent.
He is professor of the Uzbekistani State Conservatory; he has done a lot for upbringing of young directors.
This year, Firudin Safarov celebrates his 70th birthday and festive ceremonies are to be held in Tashkent on this occasion.
