Azerbaijani culture propagandized in Canada
Baku, August 11 (AZERTAC). In the frame of the Niagara International Musical Festival (Niagara-on-the-Lake) the representatives of the Azerbaijani community in Toronto performed Azerbaijani folk music.
The concert took place at the initiative of the Niagara International Musical Festival and the embassy of Azerbaijan in Canada.
In the frame of festival, young Azerbaijani artist Maryam Alakberli presented her works.
Maryam Alakberli was born in 1991 in Baku. She interested in fine arts since the early childhood. A number of her works was published by charity funds in the form of post cards. Besides, on August 26, the Azerbaijani community plans to arrange the International Day of Azerbaijani mugham with participation of the “Silk Way” Toronto Silk Road Chamber Orchestra.
To note, on August 10, the Canadian radio 97.9 FM CHIN, broadcasting from Ottawa, has aired interview of the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Canada Farida Shafiyeva, who spoke about culture of Azerbaijan.
