Azerbaijani delegation takes part at MONEYVAL’s meeting
Baku, December 16, AZERTAC
The Azerbaijani delegation led by State Securities Committee’s chair Rufat Aslanli took part at the 46th plenary meeting of the Council of Europe’s expert group on combating money laundering and financing of terrorism (MONEYVAL).
The Committee reports that by its reasonable arguments and facts the delegation did not allow resumption MONEYVAL’S monitoring in respect to the country.
“For political reasons this issue was raised by a number of countries, but was not backed by the expert group,” the Committee said.
At the session, which took place on 8-12 December, it was discussed a report on this year’s assessment of Azerbaijan for conformity to the FATF requirements.
