AZERBAIJANI LANGUAGE COURSES IN KALININGRAD
A meeting with representative of Kaliningrad regional Duma, assistant Chairman for economic policy, Chairman of the Regional Division of the All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress and envoy of the executive power of Baku in Kaliningrad Tofig Rzayev, has been held in Russian Center of Baku Slavonic University. The guest said during his conversation with AZERTAC correspondent, that due to the efforts of the representatives of Azerbaijani Diaspora in Kaliningrad, Azerbaijani and Turkish languages would start to be taught soon in the local branch of the Moscow State University. ‘The interest in Azerbaijani language here is not by chance. Kaliningrad is located in the center of Europe and surrounded by Poland, Lithuanian and Belarus: we will constantly keep in touch with Baku Slavonic University and hope for opening department of oriental studies in the future to teach Turkish languages.
