Azerbaijan`s ICT Minister meets member of US House of Representatives

Bakuç November 26 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov has met with the member of US House of Representatives Rida Cabanilla.

The sides discussed Azerbaijan`s achievements in ICT sector, e-government Program, “Regional Innovation Zone” project, creation of space industry, mutual experience exchange in ICT sphere, and other issues.

Abbasov pointed out Azerbaijan has close relations wit the US in all fields including the ICT one. He underlined successful activity of American ICT companies in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani Minister stressed significance of cooperation with Orbital Sciences towards establishment of the space industry.

In turn, Cabanilla noted she familiarized herself with Azerbaijan`s ICT sector within the framework of the BakuTel 2011 exhibition. She praised the progress achived in Azerbaijan to develop ICT sector and underlined the importance of boosting ties.
