Azeri musician gives concert in US

Baku, August 24 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani kamancha player Imamyar Hasanov has performed in the Harper College in Chicago, the United States.

According to Hasanov, International Silk Road concert featured mugham compositions, such as Rast, Chargah, Bayati-Shiraz, Shushtar and Shur and music pieces by Azerbaijani composers.

Musicians from the US, the UK, Brazil, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Czech and other countries took part in the concert.

Turkish ambassador to the US Namik Tan also attended the concert.

Hasanov has met with Azerbaijani students studying in the US and participated in the conference on popularization of Azeri national music.
