Azeri musician to perform in US

Baku, August 18 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani kamancha player Imamyar Hasanov will give a concert in the Harper College in Chicago, the United States on Saturday.

Hasanov will perform Rast, Chargah, Bayati-Shiraz, Shushtar and Shur mughams and composition of national dances.

Musicians from the US, the UK, Brazil, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Czech and other countries will take part in the concert.

CD called “An Undiscovered Treasure” by Hasanov has been launched in the US previously.

The CD features music pieces by prominent Azerbaijani composers, as Tofig Guliyev, Fikrat Amirov, Arif Malikov and others, as well as Hasanov`s rhapsody based on Chargah mugham, improvisations based on Bayati-Shiraz and Chargah mughams.
