Azeri students to join U.S. Department of State`s program
Baku, August 11 (AZERTAC). Students of Baku State University will participate in the UGRAD Program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.
Rector of BSU, MP, academician Abel Maharramov has met on Wednesday with press secretary of the US embassy in Azerbaijan Keith Bean and Cultural Affairs Attaché Christopher John to the effect. The sides exchanges views on the UGRAD and other programs.
The meeting noted the UGRAD program for the second and third year students lasts a year.
The program financed by the State Department aimed at students of physics, chemistry, biology, economy, business, law and computer departments.
Successes of Azeri students in the UGRAD program were stressed in the meeting.
Maharramov said that two students of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics department of BSU became winners of the program.
He also underlined the establishment of English speaking groups in BSU and works to be done in this sphere.
