AZERTAC joins international “Diplomacy Journalism” training in Turkey

An employee of Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) has joined the “Diplomacy Journalism” training program for international participants organized in collaboration with the Turkish International Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and Anadolu Agency's News Academy.
The ceremony of presenting certificates to the participants of the international “Diplomatic Correspondent” training was held at the head office of the AA on February 16, in Ankara.
The "Diplomacy Journalism” training program brought together 24 journalists writing in the field of diplomacy from Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, and Mongolia for 78 hours of practical and theory lessons lasting between February 5-16.
TIKA's Manager for Training Projects Mustafa Hasim Polat, Anadolu Agency's International Operations Director Ural Yesil, News Academy Deputy Coordinator Hayri Cetinkus and Ertan Dashtan attended the event.
Speaking at the ceremony, TIKA manager Mustafa Hasim Polat said that they are cooperating with more than 100 countries around the world in various fields, including the implementation of educational projects and training of specialists.
Anadolu Agency's International Operations Director Ural Yesil said that the program aims to teach journalists on foreign policy, diplomacy and energy and to prepare specialized journalists who are well aware of important aspects of international politics, as well as the latest developments in the field of diplomacy and energy.
AZERTAC’s employee Parvana Rahimova, speaking on behalf of the participants of the training, said that the program allowed them to expand their skills of reporting in the field of diplomacy, as well as helped to build friendly relations among the participants of different countries.
At the end of the ceremony, the trainees awarded internationally recognized certificates of “Diplomacy Journalism” training program.
