Baku hosts summit “Caspian Air Cargo”
Baku, October 14 (AZERTAC). “Silk Way” Air Company and “Euroaviainternational” jointly with “Azerbaijan Hava Yollari” Company held an international summit “Caspian Air Cargo Summit 2011”
Chief of Azerbaijan state administration of civil aviation Arif Mamadov said the aim of the summit is to discuss the future of aviation industry. The event brought together more than 200 representatives from 20 countries. He said the civil aviation will turn 74 this year. Azerbaijan has adopted the European aviation security standards. Increase of flights to the Northern America, improvement of passenger services are one of the main aims of the country`s aviators.
Head of international air cargo association (TIAKA) Michael Sten said about problems and achievements in the field of aviation and stressed the necessity of using new technologies. Mr. Sten informed about achievements gained in the field of passenger traffic and freight transport. He praised successes of Azerbaijani air company “Silk Way” in a field of freight transport.
The summit participants discussed issues of application of innovative technologies in freight transport and future prospects of cooperation.
