Book about Azerbaijan to be presented in Yakutsk

A book about Azerbaijan will be presented by British Publishing House Hertfordshire Press in Yakutsk, Russia, in August.
The book entitled “Azerbaijan: Bridge between East and West” by writer and journalist, Yury Sigov, will be launched at V Open Eurasia and Central Asia Book Forum and Literature Festival.
Originally the book in English language was presented in London.
Open Eurasia and Central Asia Book Forum and Literature Festival is an annual literature event organised by Hertfordshire Press. The festival attracts participants from around the world. These are writers, artists, film directors, actors and poets from Caucasus, Central Asia and Eurasia as writers, diplomats, economists and journalists outside of the region who write about the region.
The festival and forum has the principle of openness and interaction between all the arts, based on literature, providing an opportunity to establish a dialogue and communication within the literary and cultural space and enabling authors to express themselves. As a result each festival, every year new authors are discovered and new books are published.
Yury Sigov is a prolific author with a large experience of extensive travelling and working in over 150 countries. He wrote more than dozen books about the United States, Malaysia, Singapore, Tajikistan, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Indonesia.
In his new book about Azerbaijan, Sigov suggests to an amateur reader, a curious tourist, an economist or a diplomat a fresh look into the traditions and ambitions of the prosperous nation in the Caucasus.
Azerbaijan is a country with old and rich culture whose language was used by poet Nizami for writing his masterpieces. It is a country with longsuffering history yet today supplies the world’s richest nations with important resource. The book provides an insight into how Azerbaijan juggles in world politics and plays a role of a bridge between East and West for a world dialogue, cooperation and development.
