Brisbane could see more flooding
Baku, October 13 (AZERTAC). The Brisbane City Council is warning residents and motorists to be prepared for flooding in low-lying areas tomorrow.
The council says this week`s controlled water releases from the Wivenhoe Dam, on top of an expected high tide, could lead to flooding in several suburbs including Albion, Bowen Hills, Newstead, Windsor, Milton and Norma Park.
The high tide is forecast for 2:30pm (AEST).
The council says sandbags can be collected at depots at Newmarket, Zillmere, Morningside and Darra.
But Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) hydrologist Jeff Perkins says no flood warning has been issued at this stage.
